Winery description

This winery was born from the family's passion for growing wine. This passion is so deeply ingrained in their DNA that generation after generation follow the same steps that their ancestors had been doing for more than 100 years.

At present they are putting all their efforts into making “PARRAS DO FORMIGAL”, one of the best Rías Baixas Albariño on the market, a 100% Albariño monovarietal white wine.

All their production is made and bottled on the property, so they can control the entire process and maintain the quality parameters required for their wines.

They cultivate the grapes in several plots with a total area of 5.5 hectares, using traditional conduction systems, such as trellis and trellises, in ideal terrain for growing grapes, with sandy and stony soils, well-ventilated and with good light. They have an annual production of 50,000 bottles of Albariño.

As a characteristic of this winery, the Vieites brothers are trying to make a more ecological wine and for this they are putting prevention treatments into practice, consisting of the maceration of ferns and nettles. Ferns provide them with materials that improve the soil and nettles with much more concentrated amino acids.

With these treatments they try to fight fungi by creating unpleasant environments without using so many insecticides and thus being able to respect the environment more.
