Lagar de Besada Winery
Lagar de Besada is a family winery, with more than 40 years of experience, whose beginnings begin in the small garage of the house.
Their professional path begins at the same time of the D.O. Rías Baixas, around the year 1988; It was one of the first wineries to join. Its wines are characterised by respect for the land, the effort in selecting the best grapes of the Albariño variety which, together with careful production, a period of rest in tank and its own style, result in high quality wines and personality. And all this, together with humility, marks the style of Lagar de Besada.
For driving the traditional trellis is used, with this system the sun exposure of the leaves is maximised and the fruit has better ventilation. The bunches are small, they ripen early and are of medium vigour. The grapes are small with golden and green iridescence, elegant floral and fruity aromas, their flavour is fresh and smooth.
They offer one hour tours to get to know the world of wine and the culture that surrounds it, in Lagar de Besada you can visit the facilities and see up close the process of making Albariño and sparkling wines made by the traditional method and delve into the sensations the wines cause. They also have a space where you can taste their wines by the glass or by the bottle, at any time, and without haste.
María and David (those responsible) comment: «We are in favour of minimal human intervention. We do not accelerate processes to sell more. We respect the times of the wines, we are not in a hurry. Therefore, each vintage is different. Because we don’t put pressure on the grape or the wine ».
Añada de Baladiña
It is a (100%) ripe Albariño, ideal for unrepeatable moments …
Its colour is bright with a golden gold tone. On the nose it is complex and totally different from the Albariños we know. Ripe fruit, apple sauce, dehydrated citrus, spicy notes. In the mouth it is full-bodied, full of life, tasty and balanced.
It has an alcohol content of 12.5%.
Baladiña
It is a refreshing, tasty wine, with years of life ahead to surprise us, the maximum expression of Albariño.
It has a yellow colour with greenish tones. The palate is tasty, fatty, round and with a wide finish.
It contains an alcoholic graduation of 13.5%.
Burbujas de Baladiñas
It is a quality sparkling wine, ideal for unforgettable moments.
Its colour is pale yellow, with golden reflections, it presents a fine and elegant bubble, aromas of candied lemon, dried fruits and hints of honey. Everything is balance, harmony and elegance.
It has an alcohol content of 12.5%.
At Lagar de Besada they are proud to be the first quality sparkling wine makers in the Rías Baixas area. They had the audacity to make a wine by the Champenoise method, after much effort and work they released their first Cuvée de Bubbles de Baladiña in 2006.
Lagar de Besada
This wine of straw yellow colour, with a very elegant nose, intense nuances of fresh fruit, interspersed with subtle citrus and saline aromas.
It is an ideal wine for aperitifs, an excellent companion for all kinds of fish, shellfish and mollusks.
It has an alcoholic strength of 12%.
