Aquitania Winery

Aquitania was born from the concern of a Sanxenxo winegrower, who decided to bet on this business model, moving from a domestic press to developing a modern winery with high oenological technology.

They named the winery after a distant region, wanting to remember the land from where legend has it. A monk came to the Rías Baixas and it is said that he was the one who made the first Albariño wine. That monk was called Bernón and in his honour, too, they gave this same name to one of their wines.

On the outside, the winery has an absolutely groundbreaking design, with pure lines and noble materials from the area.

This winery wants to work with its main asset, a grape as unique as that of Albariño in a place as unique as the Rías Baixas.

Although they only vinify the Albariño variety, they also carry out experimental tests with other Galician varieties.

In some plots they have vines over a hundred years old that coexist with younger ones giving complexity to the wines.

In Aquitania they intend to recover the purity of the Albariño and that strength of the Rías Baixas that are attached to the Atlantic.
