Description

“Wine of Gods”

This wine contains the essence of the terroir and the spirit of the Gods Greco-Roman, combining the soul of tradition and history. Dionysus, also known as Bacchus, civilising Divinity, God of wine, vegetation and pleasures. Found in the vineyard of his grandfather Amadeo, at the site of “Castro de A Muradella” in Mourazos, ancient Roman Villa from the 3rd century AD.

It represents Dionysus  assisted by the satyr Ampelos the vine.

This Mencia, an oak matured wine, from Bodega Pazo de Valdeconde, with the Dionisos & Ampelos, is made with mostly Mencia grapes and a small percentage from Tempranillo and Sousón.

Mencia 70% – Tempranillo 20% – Sousón 10%

The vinification of this barrel is carried out separately according to the variety and the coupages after macerating and fermenting each of the varieties. To end the process of this Mencia wine it is transferred into French oak barrels, in where the malolactic fermentation will develop and rest for a year.

Cherry red colour with purple festoon, clean bright, covered with layer.

Intense, aromatic nose, marked with elegant touches of noble woods (French oak, coffee, roasted, incense, liqueur bonbon), ripe fruit (blackberry, blueberry black, prunes) and flowers (kills of butterflies).

Very pleasant, powerful on the mouth, the fruit is imposed with kindness on some staves already tame, balanced, tasty, notes of strawberries with chocolate very comforting, sweet and long-lasting.

Perfect with strong cheeses, stews, game dishes, white meats, stews, pâtés, roast sucker, etc.

Serving temperature: 8ºC.
