Bioca winery dates back to 1954 when María Teresa’s father produced wine.
However, after 40 years of activity, the lack of generational change led to the abandonment of the winery.
It was in 2000 when María Teresa and her husband Celestino decided to return to her roots and settle in the area.
Bioca winery belongs to the Valdeorras Denomination of Origin.
They have 6 hectares of vineyards that are located on the left bank of the River Sil.
Their modern facilities have a capacity of about 30,000 litres.
All the work is carried out with their own staff and they process grapes according to the most current techniques.
The grape varieties are 80% Godello, 20% Mencía and Garnacha Tintorera.

Wine made 100% with Godello grapes.
It has a lemon colour, with a very pronounced floral style of jasmine and orange blossom.
With an alcohol graduation of 13.5%
Wine made with 85% Mencía grapes and 15% Tempranillo grapes and Garnacha Tintorera.
It has a cherry red colour, with a very good aromatic intensity of floral and fruity notes.
With an alcoholic graduation of 13%.
