Winery description

They are a winery, with a family winemaking tradition, born in 2009 near the archaeological site where the Roman sculpture of the god Dionysus (known as Bacchus), the god of wine, was found, and since then they have not stopped working hard. They produce the best quality wines thanks to a professional team and a unique manufacturing process.

They have a total of 14Ha of their own land, spread over El Valle Monterrei. Its annual production exceeds 45,000 litres.

They themselves take care of the entire process, they have no intermediaries. They take care of the pruning, harvesting and winemaking in the winery. They use the safest and least harmful procedures for the environment.

They remove the leaves before harvesting to speed up maturation. And, they also put green pruning into practice, to make a better selection of the grapes and thus obtain a higher quality wine.

Its team of professionals offers you a personalised service and special treatment to make you feel at home. They will guide you through the winery and explain the process of making their wines.

The grape varieties they use are Godello, Albariño, Tempranillo, Mencía and Treixadura. Looking to the future, the harvester wants to incorporate into his wines also other native varieties of which he has new vines, such as the bastardo, in reds.

In the few years that it has been in operation, the winery has already obtained some notable scores in the reference guides of the wine sector in Spain, in the case of the Peñín Guide, where its Tirabeque mencía received 90 points (out of 100) or the Abeledos tinto, with 89 points. That same wine received a gold in Luis Padín's guide to Galician wines, while the white Tirabeque, from Godello, deserved another gold.
